Rejection
Pretty much every person throughout their lives has faced rejection. When this rejection happens over and over, however, they might just lose hope or their happiness. Rejection by friends and family is probably the most devastating rejection of all. If someone cannot even find acceptance in the ones closest to them, then they will probably not find acceptance in any one else either. The rejected person could get depressed angry, anxious, or many other different emotions that can cause them pain. There is always still hope though. No matter how dire someone's situation is. Hopefully, the person may realize this any trudge on through their difficulty. If their friends actually were friends than the rejection should end.

From Dark Beginnings...
Mary Shelley opens her story, Frankenstein, with letters written from Robert Walton. These letters gave the story context of why it was written, instead of just having a story just somehow being written. This allows me know who is writing the story and the letters establish a foreshadowing of what is to come (such as Walton meeting Victor). If I were to start a ghost story, I would try to start it the same way by establishing the narrator and creating an aura of uncertainty. I would probably do this through either the narrator's dark tones or some sort of hectic event that is putting the narrator in a panic. Later on in the story when the plot finally reaches his situation, it will be much more understandable for the reader.
Action is Effective
I believe action is the most important element a story can have. The action creates more suspense and excitement in a reader than anything else because it advances the plot and shows a different side to some of the characters. At the start of Frankenstein, Victor is portrayed as very smart and peaceful. Despite this, when Victor meets the monster he spews insults and wants the monster to be gone. This conflict shows another side to Victor and even the monster. During the monsters story of living next to the cottage, the actions made the reading much more interesting. Through the monsters actions I learned much more about the people in the cottage and the monsters struggle. It gave me much more insight on how the monsters developed complex English skills and the knowledge of much of the world. Overall action enhances the story much more than anything else.

Trust
Being an older brother, I must constantly convince my brothers to do tasks for me.To do this, I must coerce them into doing what I want.. As of recently, it has been harder and harder to convince them. So, I now pretty much have to bribe them to get them to do what I want. When my brothers were growing up, however, all i had to do was smooth talk them into whatever I wanted. One time when we were on a road trip throughout the East Coast of the United States, I got really bored. I then told my brother Dominic (who was playing on his Nintendo DS) that if i was bored, there would be no one to make sure he does not fall asleep while playing the DS. Dominic really was not that smart when he was young, so he gave me the DS so that way he did not fall asleep... while playing it. He ended up very bored, but at least I was not. I had myself a nice, nearly fully charged DS.

Essay paragraph
English has always been my worst subject. I tend to do very well on the state English tests, but that is because the format for the questions make the test very easy. English is hard for me because of the specific terms that need to be learned and how exactly to use them. The rules that apply to these terms make absolutely no sense to me and as a result, I do not like the subject. Pair this distaste with the fact that I find writing boring and it creates a large amount of frustration. For example, when I look at sentences I can tell which one is correct because it sounds the best and makes sense. However, when I must find specifics such as the types of clauses, I have no clue what part to look for in the sentence. It is these of questions and terms I must know that cause me to do poorly, and it is probably the most rage-inducing thing about school.

OGT's
The OGT test that I am most worried about (and the only one I am worried about) is the english section. English is easily my worst subject and I just find it really hard to study it at all. To be honest, I barely need to study anything for the other subjects. Unfortunately, the one I do need to study for causes me to just get bored of and never do it. The only way to actually get prepared for the english OGT would be for me to power through the fact that I do not want to and study anyways. I tend to stay more by myself so I probably will not study with friends. I just work better by myself and friends will probably distract me. The best way to actually get studying done would probably be using online means such as online tests and reading short explanations on what some english terms actually mean. For example, I completely forgot what a clause is. Now I need to go look that up and hopefully not get sidetracked.

What I would die for
If there is anything I would be willing to die for, it would be for my friends. Sometimes I forget to do something or accidently let them down, but they are still what i care about the most. I just cannot stand to see anything bad happen to them and because of this I tend to worry about them a lot more than myself. If one of my friends is ever in need, it just tears my up inside if I do not do anything. So, I try helping as best as I can. Sometimes it does not work out, and a couple times I have made it worse, but i like to know that I tried my best. For me, helping my friends get through tough times is the best I can hope for.
